One More Time....

So, I already blogged about Paumanok Review but I read a couple stories -- Nathan Leslie's "Cobblestones" and Stephen Gillis's "Aftercare" and enjoyed each one very much. Haven't gotten a chance to go through the whole issue, but wanted to point that there's some quality fiction there at the moment.

Thanks for reading,

LLB

I have a beef about a particular (popular) literary magazine. They claim a 4- to 12-week response time. I submitted a piece via the Internet on December 18th. Twelve weeks would have been this week, but they are just getting to reading it now (I've check via their online submission process), which means now I have to wait another 4 to 12 weeks to hear from them. That's riduclous! I've since sent the piece to a couple of other journals (thankfully big-time journal is okay with simultaneous submissions). They should at least put a note on their site saying that they are (way) behind schedule.

Anyway, I'm not Lady Litblitz, but there's my journal market critique of the week.

Of course, I am dying to know which popular literary magazine this is. But then again, I do know you also don't work within the cloud of anonymity. I wonder if it's one I have already bitched about, ever. ;)

Seriously, I hear you, I feel your pain... I hate that stuff, it's so frustrating. It's bad enough to have to wait months in the first place.
